This movie both entertained and encouraged me!
I saw this at an independent film festival in San Antonio earlier this year, and it got my vote (and my teenage son's) for best of show. I was riveted throughout and cried like a baby at the end! The theater-like cinematography is interesting, because it's unique and draws you in to the experience of the characters. If you know what to expect (sparse or no sets), you won't be distracted or disappointed by that. Terrific performances by three great young actors, and meaningful ideas that encouraged me to resist evil in myself and in the world around me. But what I like most about the movie, as a writer, is the script. Because Kathryn Moss wrote it first as a stage play, she couldn't rely on locations and action etc. like so many films do. All the scenes had to be well-written and interesting to watch on the merits of the plot and dialogue alone, and they all are. And it's a true story!
Stunning in every way!
Resistance Movement is superbly written and directed! With a message of conviction and steadfast courage, this true story is both haunting and inspiring. The viewer is drawn in by the unique filming style, and three very believable main characters. Overall, an esoteric independent film that left me stunned and crying. I had to ask myself, "What would I be willing to do, for the good of all, in the face of tremendous turmoil and personal sacrifice?" For anyone who wants to believe that one person can truly make a difference, this film is a must!

Powerful message!!
I had the opportunity to see this at its screening and was struck by the beautiful and truthful message it shares about taking a stand for something that you believe in. This story is a strong one and it's filmed in such a way that allows the viewer to really focus on the message that it tells. There were moments where I completely forgot myself and just openly cried. :) The beauty of this story is the questions it raises about my own willingness to take a stand and resist "evil" in all its forms. Even if my actions accomplish nothing in my limited perspective, do I still take a stand? Man, good stuff!! I am excited to get this so I can share it with my family and friends. I highly recommend it!
