Son of Sardaar [Blu-Ray]

"Hummm, Humm, hum,hum,hum"!
I found this movie amusing and funny. The actors, I think, carried this show rather than the script. The "Po Po" song was really very cute. I own this film because I like all the actors and I have friends who will enjoy this too.

Sirwiñakuy

A Mid-Summer's Daydream
Sirwinakuy is a quiet film--languid and intimate. The story of the relationship between an older man and a younger woman, it takes the viewer into the dreamlike nature of their union, where no one else exists and the outside world is kept at bay. This is the fantasy that happens whenever two people fall in love, but this is no ordinary love. In fact, for the length of the movie the viewers, as well as the main characters, are not certain whether this is love at all. It begins like a fairy tale; a chance encounter in a cafe leads to an immediate, unspoken attraction and both the young woman and the man are fearless enough to follow impulse without questions. It's the sort of improbable situation that happens in the lives of those courageous enough to trust and embrace the unknown. As their unorthodox relationship develops, it is apparent that there are levels to this film and to its characters that are implied and then left for the viewer to ponder. As we are told very little about the...

Beautiful Sexy Film for Couples
The basis of this film is a trail marriage between the two characters. Amy Hesketh's beautiful cinematography of Bolivia and her patient, expressive pacing make this a beautiful, sexy, evocative movie. The convincing and nuanced performances by Jac and Veronica make this a 'must see' film. If you buy only one "couple's porno" this year, purchase Sirwiñakuy and crack open a nice bottle of wine to share with your lover.

Beautiful! Romantic suspense worthy of Alfred Hitchcock!
What a great thrill to find a new director to watch! Amy Hesketh has created a fine romantic suspense with a fascinating twist. The premise is rooted in an authentic Bolivian custom, but what Hesketh does with it is all her own. Jac Avila and Veronica Paintoux give excellent performances as the couple in...what? Love? Trouble? Danger? You decide. Don't pass this one up!

Scooby-Doo & The Circus Monsters

Nothing to See Here
These shows have all been released at least twice.

Bedlam in the Big Top--Big Top Scooby-Doo/Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? The Complete First and Second Seasons
The Ghouliest Show on Earth--Big Top Scooby-Doo/The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo: The Complete Series
A Terrifying Round with a Menacing Metallic Clown--What's New, Scooby-Doo: The Complete 3rd Season/What's New, Scooby-Doo?, Volume 10: Monstrous Trails

This is a rip-off. It's not worth the DVD the shows are burned onto.

A clown-centered sampler of Scooby-Doo
This DVD is three episodes of three different Scooby-Doo series; the original, The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo, and What's New, Scooby-Doo. If you're a collector, and already own the seasons, there's no reason to buy this (unless you're the really complete collector, then that's your own problem.) Judged on their own merits, they're fun episodes, with the first and the last filled with all the fake monsters we expected. (The 13 Ghosts has actual supernatural and lacks Velma, two strikes in my book.)

So don't pick it up if you have to have everything, but if you want a sample of three episodes, it's a perfect package.

Love Scooby
My son Loves Scooby Doo and these were for him!
Yes I would recommend!
He said it was a great movie!

HE'S ONE MAN WHO IS DRIVEN TO KILL.
Mostly I like all of the movies of STEVEN SEAGAL, but my four best movies that I give more higher ratings are these action classics. These 4 movies are my favorites of STEVEN SEAGAL because they show his fury and strength when his loved ones are harmed in any way. I enjoy watching him in action and his fights are totally out of this world plus the stories of these 4 movies are also pretty interesting. UNLEASH THE FIRE SEAGAL!!!

Nova: Inside the Megastorm

Sandy
This DVD focuses on the storm that hit the east coast in 2012, named Sandy. It has English subtitles and is about 60 minutes long.
The question is asked, are lethal storms becoming more frequent? There is some discussion at the end, but no real answers. The weather models are explored, especially the accurateness of the European model. Talking heads from universities and meteorologists also add to dialogues without too much irritation that they are being shown and not the storm. The film is of good quality, even those during the height of the storm and fires leave no doubt as to the destructive force.

The main emphasis is on the storm as it hit Manhattan and New Jersey. The plans and problems and tragedies are shown, including some of the victims and those that lost loved ones. There are no recriminations or no astonishments expressed that government workers are surprised that subway and electrical conduits flooded. This is a film that simply shows the facts and the...

Who Framed Roger Rabbit: 25th Anniversary Edition (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging)

The Rabbit Gets Some Justice
Filmmakers have been combining animation and live action since the days of silent film--but 1988's WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT not only bested everything done previously, it set a standard that is unlikely to be surpassed. Although it has been available on VHS and in a mediocre DVD release for quite a few years, the film finally gets the star treatment in this "Vista Series" double DVD release, which includes the film in both pan-and-scan and letterbox formats and an assortment of extras, many of which are quite interesting.

The concept and story are well known: cartoon characters are not drawings, but are living entities who work in the film industry, and when Maroon Cartoon star Roger Rabbit is accused of murdering Marvin Acme (Stubby Kaye), he turns to private detective Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) for help. Trouble is, Eddie hates "Toons." After all, one of them offed his brother, and Eddie hasn't been sober since. The concept is a clever one, and the story could have gone in any...

That's what I call one seriously disturbed Toon......
One of the great joys of movie-going is to see a concept, that on-the-face-of-it is so goofy and off-beat that it should never work, but, in the end, does work and works in spades! So it was for me with Who Framed Roger Rabbit. This Vista Series DVD brings the film to us with a crisp & clean picture, THX sound, and a beautifully packaged set of extras that include a very clever interactive menu, plus loads of goodies presented smartly, with humor and surprises.

Seeing the film again reminded me how impressed I was with the audacity and accomplishment of Bob Zemeckis and his collaborators on bringing off with care and intelligence, a sharp & funny film that plays to both children & adults. Who would have thunk it?

Taking a Chinatown-like story of early Los Angeles with some basis in fact (destroying the Red Line to make way for freeways) complete with murder & intrigue & marrying it to the screwy conceit that cartoon figures, aka Toons, actually lived and worked as live actors...

An Awful DVD of an incredible movie
This is one of my favorite movies ever; there's not a moment that I don't believe that toons and humans are interacting...but this version is a censored version of the film. They cut parts without the consent of the director, and for this reason, I beg you not to buy this version. Wait until they correct the bowdlerization of this masterpiece

Mulan / Mulan II (3-Disc Special Edition) [Blu-ray / DVD]

Looks better, but some bonuses dropped from the old DVD
While Mulan looks better on Blu-ray, we are sacrificing some bonus material that was on the old DVD:

All galleries are lost in the leap from DVD to Blu-ray. There were ten Character Design galleries holding several hundred images, three Visual Development galleries amassing around 100 images, a 13-image Backgrounds & Layouts gallery, and a Publicity Art gallery holding 32 images. The interactive edutaining feature "DisneyPedia: Mulan's World", comprised of ten shorts on the film's elements and culture, is another notable casualty. Also gone: the no longer applicable introduction about being able to toggle angles for the production stages demonstration. Included on Mulan's first DVD (a non-anamorphic Limited Issue disc repackaged as a Gold Classic Collection edition) but subsequently dropped and still not resurfacing is its original theatrical trailer. That's a bummer both for fans of Randy Edelman's Dragonheart score and for those who appreciated the use of some rough...

Mulan is significant in that it was the first feature produced almost completely by Walt Disney Animation Florida, a top-flight studio that doubled as a Theme Park attraction. Guests could wander along picture windows and watch animators at work on real shorts and features. It was a wonderful thing to see while it lasted.

Mulan was also my daughter's first movie. Even though she was just a baby then, she has seen it many times since and it is one of her all-time favorites. This is a great dad and daughter movie, in any case.

The strength of Mulan is that its a story that makes a strong...

Who she is inside
Based upon traditional Chinese folklore (try this take on it for a solid introduction by a noted reteller Fa Mulan: The Story of a Woman Warrior), these two movies tell the story of Fa Mulan (Ming-Na Wen), a young girl living in China in the 3rd Century BC. In the first of the two movies we learn that, as the only child of a considerable landowner, Fa Zhou (Soon-Tek Oh), who was lamed in war some years earlier, Mulan has, somewhat of necessity, grown up something of a tomboy, dressing in trousers, working in the fields, and riding her horse Khan astride; but she's found over the years that she enjoys this kind of life--the prospect of "meeting our Matchmaker (Miriam Margolyes)" terrifies her, and the process of getting "primped and polished" so that "boys will gladly go to war for [her]" seems rather stupid. But in her culture, women are at best second-class citizens, and "a girl can bring her family/Great...

Rurouni Kenshin: New Kyoto Arc

All new animation with a more compact story
Im not one to take shots but just a change of picture with simplified storyLOL it's insulting that 6 ppl actually found that helpful. Obviousy the person below and those who rated that remark have not actually seen this and is just going off the cover and some summaries they've seen i guess.

First lets clarify the title this is Rurouni Kenshin: Shin Kyoto-Hen Zenpen it is a remake of the Kyoto arch and Kenshin's battle with Shishio not sure why amazon is just listing it as Rurouni Kenshin and with the date of 1996 as this is not the original tv series nor the year it was released hopefully this will be corrected as not to confuse ppl.

Anyways back on point having seen and own the original series and as well as reading all the manga I have to say Rurouni Kenshin: Shin Kyoto-Hen Zenpen really was a pleasant surprise after hearing it was a remake you figure it was probably just going to be a recap cutting out some of the the filler from the tv series that wasnt in...

Hmmmm, not sure about this one
Okay, let me start off by saying that I am a purest when it comes to anime series and I grew up watching Rurouni Kenshin on Toonami and I own the Mangas and original DVD from Media Blaster. When I heard that they were creating a new OVA series after so many years, suffice to say I was excited, but that where it ends.

The good:
As far as the animation goes, this Blu-Ray is great because of the bright, vibrant colors and 1080P video. It looks awesome on my 42" Plasma TV

The Bad:
This is a hacked up, condensed version of the Kyoto Arc, which was magnificently animated during the original release many years ago. For purest like myself, this version is an insult to the original animation and story. This OVA lacks the comedy, action and storytelling from the original. In addition, because of the nature of the release, they squeezed the entire arc into 2 disc, roughly about 2 hours.

Anyone who is a diehard fan or Rurouni Kenshin, I would say to pick...

Bummed out fan boy
I am a huge fan of both the original tv show and manga so naturally I bought this new blu-ray. The only reason why I don't give this a one star is because I do like the updated animation of the two ova's and that is it. All this blu-ray is a two ova retelling of the Kyoto arc with all the good parts left out and other scenes changed. The best part, the fighting, is glossed over it was a total let down. Now the unforgivable part, the blu-ray itself. My blu-ray only had the english voice track even though it showed it had the japanese track also it wouldn't let me take off the subtitles. If you watched the original show you would know that the subtitles read differently than the english voice acting because of translation. So it gets really confusing having to watch a movie that says one thing and subtitles that don't always match plus they were pretty big letters. It would be one thing if i was able to watch it in it's original language and I was reading them. In conclusion STAY AWAY...

Night of the Living Dead - Digitally Remastered

A must see for all movie lovers
This movie has earned its place as a classic.

It's certainly a classic for horror lovers. This movie is the among the first of the "respectable" horror/zombie flicks, and as such if you don't see it you'll constantly be missing references and homage from many other movies. If you haven't seen it you're missing references in Alien, Cujo, The Supernaturals, Beetlejuice, Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days Later, and so many more.

But it's a must see for lovers of almost all other types of movies as well. This movie didn't depend on gore or cheap scares; the chocolate syrup they had simulating blood wasn't that impressive, and while you might tense up while watching it, you'll almost never jump.

The real genius of it is in the frightened group of people stranded in the farmhouse, trying to cope with the new reality they're seeing around them. You see people traumatized, people in shock, people scared and desperate and angry and struggling to regain some...

Night of the Living Dead - Digitally Remastered
I don't know why it says it was Digitally Remastered. I didn't notice any better quality than any other version I have saw. It seemed worse in some places.

Remastered???
I watched this thinking that "digitally remastered" meant that it would look better than the original. I was wrong. It's really difficult to see what is going on a lot of the time. It looks no better (maybe worse) than the non-remastered version. I do love this movie, but when you say digitally remastered, I expect to see a difference in quality. The contrast is way too high to the point you can't see people's faces sometimes because the whites are blown out and fuzzy. anyway, it was free..

Muay Thai Warrior [Blu-ray]

Don't expect anything too factual or deep but "Muay Thai Warrior" is an enjoyable popcorn action film
From director Nopporn Watin comes the martial arts action film "Muay Thai Warrior" (also known as "Samurai Ayothaya" or "The Samurai of Ayothaya"). A film loosely based on the Japanese adventurer Yamada Nagamasa, who became influential in the Ayutthaya Kingdom (a Siamese kingdom that existed from 1351 to 1767 and known for its foreign trade and Ayutthaya was one of the wealthiest cities in the East) in the 17th Century and would become the governor of the Nakhon Si Thammarat in southern Thailand.

The film "Muay Thai Warrior" was created to celebrate 124 years of Japan and Thailand relations and now the film will be released by Well Go USA on Blu-ray and DVD in March 2013. The film would feature Japanese actor Seigi Ozeki ("The Odd Couple"), Sorapong Chatree ("Ong Bak 2 and 3″, "Beautiful Boxer"), Winai Kraibutr ("Bangkok Revenge", "Bang Rajan") and K1 fighter Buakhao Paw Pramuk.

"Muay Thai Warrior" takes place in the 17th century and a time when Thailand...

Muay Thai electrifying
I do martial arts movies. The Muay Thai in this movie is really good and in combination with the way of the sword. The movie also has a goog them, teaching us there is the place where we are born and the place where out soul will rest.

"A high, powerful mountain is still lower than the grass that grows on its top."
Apparently, 16th century Siam was quite a melting pot. Japanese immigrants are hired as mercenaries for the good King Naresuan. He wants to live in peace but King Nandhabureng of Hongsawdee keeps sending people to attack the village of Ayothaya. The samurai known as Yamada Nagamasa (Seigi Ozeki) repels such an attack, only to discover that the assailants are Japanese disguised as Hongsawdee. When he briefs his superior about it, the jerk responsible overhears and sends men after Yamada, who is saved when Kham (Thanawut Ketsaro) and a few other residents of Ayothaya use their superior Muay Thai skills to save him. He is taken inside the peaceful village and nursed back to health by Kham's sister, Champa (Kanokkorn Jaicheun). As he regains his strength, he is surprised how receptive everyone is to his presence. No one seems to mind that he's not from their country. When fully recovered, he decides to try his own martial arts skills against Sua (Buakaw Banchamek), best in the...

Interview With a Hitman

MY NAME IS VIKTOR
Viktor (Luke Goss) is a Romanian hitman. At one point he is called "stone cold" in the film. The film starts out with a group of disconnected scenes as it represents various aspects of Viktor's memory prior to his interview. The interview allows Viktor to do some minor narration in telling his life's tale going from a child hitman looking like a greaser, to an adult hitman with a constant 3 days worth of growth on his face.

Viktor grew up in the part of Romanian where everyone speaks English with an accent. He gets involved with the bad guys, goes on the lam to London etc.

The film does have a twist at the end, one that is poorly developed. The characters are written rather badly as is the dialouge. The genius of our hitman is a plot point, but it is not brought out too well, as to make the film interesting. The film consists of a bunch of cardboard cutouts shooting each other. Rather boring for a crime/thriller. Better classified as a crime drama. If you are...

Decent, but not special
Sort of a rip-off of the earlier movie Hitman from the game. Acting was low level and audio was close to terrible. Had to turn it up so much to hear the dialog it was unbearable.

Very Realistic, very brutal!
I enjoy Hitman movies. However, really good ones are few and far between. This movie, in my opinion, was the very best I have seen since "The Mechanic " with Charles Bronson! It is not Hollywood styalized like "Hitman", which I enjoyed. Instead you get a brutal real life type hitman. The pace is fast and vicious. You have to pay attention all the time. If you leave the room for an instant, or if someone engages you in brief conversation, by all means put the movie on "pause". Or, you will find yourself reversing alot. They speak english, but with eastern Europe type accents, so you have to listen closely. Things happen fast, once the movie gets going. This is the type of hitman movie I've waited for, for a long time. Luke Goss does a great job, and now he is my #1 male hitman actor , period. My #1 female hitman actress , is Janet Mcteer, from "Cat Run". I would love to see both these people in a movie together as a hit-team, husband and wife duo. Not much gore in this movie. No...

Je'Caryous Johnson's Marriage Material

I had high hopes for this one
Based on all the stellar reviews I really got my hopes up for this one, but I can't blame anyone. Everyone's opinions are different and with a steller cast like Leon, Crawford, and Robin Givens I knew I couldn't go wrong...but I was wrong! This might as well had been a play, as a matter of fact a play might have been better. All the scenes take place in one freakin room. The characters walk in and out this room depending on who's turn it is to get their shine and the storyline was just a total drag! My brother sat down to watch it with me because we've seen Crawford do stand up and we love the guy! Even had him as our screensaver for our home computer at one point. And we're familiar with Robin and Leon from better roles they've played in. We were really excited to watch this thinking we were going to get major laughs but the only thing we laughed about was the fact that someone actually had the nerve to write this terrible script and put out there as a movie! After 40 minutes of...

Official 1995 World Series Film

Many memories
I thought this was going to be exact footage, inning by inning, of each game in the World Series. It is NOT. Instead what the MLB created is a retelling of the story, using highlights from all the big plays (10 or so each game) intertwined with player/coach commentary. It was cool to see footage from back then--I'd forgotten just how good that Indians lineup was, and I'd also forgotten how dorky Greg Maddux looks off the field.

I'd recommend this to anyone who had an interest in the 95 series.

Playing for Keeps (+UltraViolet Digital Copy) [Blu-ray]

Playing For Keeps is NOT a romantic comedy
I saw this in the theater with my mother yesterday afternoon. I'm not going to try to tell you that Playing For Keeps is an Oscar contender (it's not) or that it's not corny, formulaic or predictable in spots (it is). It's certainly not on a par with Mr. Butler's previous films Coriolanus or Machine Gun Preacher, nor did I expect it to be.

I think that professional critics are missing the point of a film like this one. They're so busy analyzing movies frame by frame for profundity, hidden meanings and plot twists, looking for that epiphany, that they tend to forget that the rom-com genre, by definition, IS usually somewhat corny, formulaic and predictable.

I wouldn't classify Playing For Keeps as a romantic comedy and perhaps that's part of the problem. If critics went solely by the trailer, they expected pure light-hearted fluff when in actuality it's much more of a family drama with some humor sprinkled in.

Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel & Noah Lomax...

I PROMISE I WON'T CRY
George Dryer (Gerard Butler) is a retired soccer star living in Virginia to be near his son living with his ex-wife Stacie (Jessica Biel). George still loves his ex and doesn't take the news of her up coming wedding too well. Having financial difficulty causes George to coach his son's (Noah Lomax) mixed league soccer team to the joy of soccer moms.

Being a good looking guy with an accent, women such as Catharine Zeta-Jones, Uma Thurman, and Judy Greer all throw themselves at him. George is not a man accustomed to saying no, but Jessica Biel is a tough act to follow, just ask her if you don't believe me.

This is not a guy's film. Soccer is in the background and knowledge of the sport doesn't make the film any better. This is perhaps a chick flick for people who don't want to get emotional. Might make for a mediocre date night film if you haven't seen "An Officer and a Gentlemen" 10 times already. Good acting. Weak script.

Parental Guide: No f-bombs or...

I THINK I LIKED THIS BECAUSE IT WAS DIFFERENT
"Playing for Keeps" starring Gerard Butler (Phantom of the Opera, The Ugly Truth and many other so-so movies), is about a former soccer star named George that played alongside David Beckham in his hay-day and has fallen far from grace. He's a guy who's a natural at getting things and being given things, but horrible at making decisions, knowing when people are taking advantage of him and growing up. So, when he returns to the hometown of his former love, Stacie (Jessica Biel), to patch things up and reunite with his son, the typical romantic movie story begins to play out.

That being said, this movie has been a subject of numerous poor reviews from national critics and I would have to say that for some reasons, criticism is justified, but the movie is nowhere near as bad as it is being portrayed. The script is strange. It portrays Butler's character realistically, but occasionally gets farcical at random times. He's a ladies man and always has been. Women flock to him, so...

Touch of Love: The Intimate Yoni and Lingam Massage

Informative
The photography and lighting are very good. If you are unfamiliar with the topic, this would make a good first source of information.

The "script" does tend to drag and seems to be more for "couple's therapy" than true Yoni and Lingam massage. I consider it more of an intimate massage instructional video than a true Yoni/lingam massage guide. As such, I would recommend it for those wanting to re-ignite the spark or just learn more about pleasing your partner.

If you aren't sure, research the topic on the internet first. Just search for "yoni massage" or "lingam massage" and you will find explanations and techniques. If you are still interested, this video will provide visual references but will probably not match the descriptions you read on line exactly.

If you are already very familiar with this subject, this video is probably not for you. For beginners or those curious, I would recommend this video. It's a good...

Not impressive at all
I was not impressed about the 3d and the content itself is not a big deal at all. Do not expect too much from this movie...

Watch for Instruction
I've been looking for 3D movies and came across this. Curiosity got the best of me so I bought it. It's a good instructional movie if you are looking to please your partner without actually having intercourse. The 3D effect is not at all there. Watch in 2D and you get the same effect. Overall, the 2 people that star in it are beautiful and show what you can look like if you eat right and exercise regularly. Don't buy if you think you are getting porn...I gave it 3 Stars because the product does not have a reasonable 3D effect.

All About Kinski
Klaus Kinski elevates this cartoonish film to an interesting character study. How he does it is a mystery. I never knew when or if Klaus was going to explode and kill the protagonist or hug and kiss him. The ending surprised me. Kinski was a great actor but a terrible person or so I've read. It's a shame he burned the candle at both ends and died young. Worth a watch for sure.

Othello (1995)

Great Adaptation--Wonderful Cast
I am confused with many of the editorial reviews on the site. This incarnation of Othello is, in my mind, nearly perfect. Sure, it can't encapsulate everything Shakespeare intended, but it stays true to his themes of jealousy, obsession and power, and featured fantastic acting and production values.

What can I say about Othello that hasn't already been said in dozens of dissertations already? As one of the "big four" (Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear and Othello) it has remained a benchmark for tragedies for centuries. Some people might scoff at the film's intent to make Shakespeare accessible to the lay viewer, but it truly doesn't hurt the story or interfere with Shakespeare's always delightful prose. In short, the movie outperforms any preconceived notions one might have.

The cast is wonderful. A pre-Matrix Lawrence Fishburne stars as the Moor, Irene Jakob as Desdemona, and the infallible Kenneth Branaugh as Iago, Shakespeare's most complex and calculating villain. Often in...

A passionate production
While the Orson Welles version is interesting both for its visual elements and fact that it was made over several years due to financial constraints, it does not match the passion and accessibility of the Fishburne-Branagh production.

Branagh's Iago is the soul of charming evil, while Fishburne's Othello is deeply moving as a man struggling against a jealousy that ultimately overwhelms him.

A third performance that rates special mention is that of Desdemona's maid (a fine actress whose name I do not recall). Although this character has virtually no lines for more than the first half of the film, she adds a sad, cynical counterpoint to Desdemona's romantic idealism.

Also, the production values--the setting, cinematography, and costumes--are excellent and serve the film well.

Branagh Shines
Kenneth Branagh was amazing in Henry V, playing a beloved and heroic character. He delighted as the witty, comical Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing. How could this same man play one of the most diabolical characters every written in the English language? Just look at the guy, he's a pleasant, fair-haired man.

Branagh astonished me with the ease with which he plays a duplicitous, conniving villain. Playing off his nice guy image, the audience hates him all the more when he as Iago plays the nice guy, while secretly hatching evil schemes. In the asides, where he reveals his true dark nature to the audience alone, he is positively chilling.

Mr. Fishbourne is solid, but overpowered by Branagh. Fishbourne is far more convincing than previous actors playing Othello. His commanding presence and body of violent films help us see him as a war-weary General. In fairness, Iago almost always outshines Othello as a character - - unless the character playing Othello also directs...

Funeral Kings

Worth your time
They really captured teenage boy antics. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Language was a bit strong but, well, it was teenage boys.

Funny, Original, Entertaining, Relatable!!
Funeral Kings is such a great movie! the child actors are fantastic, the plot is strong and relateable for kids in the same age group. The language will offend children under 15 or 16 but it's to be expected, these are teenagers after all! Fantastic performances are delivered by every member in the cast adult and child. Plotline is consistent throughout and manages to not falter, this is a must see!

Very entertaining!!
Funeral Kings is a fun movie to watch. The language is pretty rough thus I would not recommend it for young children. The plot is based on the escapades of Altar boys and many who have been involved in the Catholic church can relate. Anyone with teenagers will relate to this film and enjoy a few laughs! I am sure we will see more from the McManus brothers and others involved in making this film. Enjoy it!

Murdoch Mysteries, Season Five

Murdoch Mysteries
This is an AWESOME series! Canadian TV has produced a wonderful murder mystery series that takes place in Victorian times, presenting social issues and lots and lots of early scientific methods for solving crimes. The actors in this series account for one of the best ensemble casts that I've ever seen. Our entire family views this series, over and over again, and we sincerely hope that it does not see cancellation for many years to come!

One of the Best
Murdoch Mysteries is a very enjoyable 'period piece' Television series (1890's Toronto). There's a little history, a little humor, a little romance, a little scientific discovery (late 1890's style) and lots of Mystery. Yannick Bisson (Detective Murdoch), Thomas Craig (his boss, Inspector Brackenreid), Jonny Harris (Murdoch's assistant and partner Constable George Crabtree) and Hélène Joy ( the coroner and love interest... Doctor Julia Ogden) are endearing characters and perfectly cast for their rolls.

We came rather late to this series.... and have found 'Murdoch' to be one of the 'best.' It's right up there with Poirot, Midsomer, Foyle's War, to name just a few. We've typically had to head across the Atlantic to BBC/ITV for good mystery TV. Who knew that our neighbors to the North were doing such a stellar job with this series? Highly recommended...

Awesome & fun TV series
I was introduced to Murdoch Mysteries through my Amazon Prime account. I absolutely fell in love with the series and its characters. Set in Victorian Canada, the TV show revolves around 4 main characters and their ability to work together to solve murder mysteries. The program is a little whimsical, a bit humorous, and of course has a little romance, too; something for the whole family to enjoy. I highly recommend it!

The Proud and the Damned - Digitally Remastered

Western Classic
Another western classic starring Chuck Connors. They just do not make movies like this anymore. Recommend to all fans of the old westerns.

Great Story
The acting was extra good. It was a true to life adventure of times long ago in Old Mexico. The story pulled no punches about the warring factions in Mexico over 100 years ago. While watching the story, please pay attention to the music, it paints an authentic audio background. I highly reccomend the film.

Horrible video quality
"Digitally remastered," my, um, butt. Either the source was horrible or whoever remastered it did so by pointing a 10-year-old webcam at a 20-year-old TV set on which the film was playing. I can't comment on plot and so forth because I watched for less than a minute before giving up.

Money Shot

One of the Greatest Indie Comedies I've seen in a long time!!
I've had the pleasure to stumble onto Money Shot just out of curiosity. I love great comedies such as Animal House, Porky's, Airplane and Naked Gun. What they have in common is that special gift of staying with you in your memories and movie conversations. Remember that scene? Remember that joke? Remember that boob scene?

Certainly Money Shot has the funniest boob scene I've ever seen. I couldn't stop laughing. Money Shot has so many secret jokes that it will take you at least 10 views to get through the tip of the ice-berg. I won't spend time on the story but the characters deserve all the praise.

Aside from Jason Mewes who I thought did bring a very subtle and heartfelt performance and Epic Wrestler Al Snow intimidating role the rest of the cast is a top notch list of indie actors who I believe are slowly getting their name out there on other quality projects. Jessica Sonneborn is super sexy as Lena Starr and completely with no boundaries. She enjoys eating her...

Kevin Smith comedy with Jason Mewes in it.... ????
This movie is released by Kevin Smiths Smodcast pictures and had Jason Mewes in it... I had to check it out.

I wasn't dissapointed. It's really ridiculous and had some really funny moments. I'll just say it has one of the most over the top nudity scenes I have seen in a while.

Jay is a secondary character, but he has a great part as the pimp and is funny as usual. Wrestler Al Snow is in it and plays a great mobster.

The other characters are all pretty good, too.

It's about a group of people trying to make a horror movie.

If you want to laugh, have a watch.

what the h*ll did I just watch
This is a movie about a group of struggling filmmakers who have a small budget to make a movie, lose it after a night of partying, and decide to make a horror movie instead of facing the mobster that lent them the money. It's a ridiculous concept, but it works... This isn't a big budget blockbuster, but a really fun, funny low budget comedy. I would recommend grabbing a beer, a toke, and not taking this watch too seriously.

The first part of the movie is kinda long and that's why I gave it a 4 out of 5.

The characters are really really out there from the director character, Billy Sham to his band of misfits: Out of work actor: Lake, Party girl and Paris Hilton wanna be: Lena, and spoiled brat, teenager, Piper. The girls are really cute together and sexy. I found myself laughing out loud during many parts of this movie. Many of the scenes of this movie are like sketches, some being better than others, but for the most part they are really really funny...

I love to watch other styles and systems and purchase a lot of videos on Martial Arts. Most of what's for sale is questionable and you find out quality after you open the package and play. Quality of video and sound are usually a problem let alone the martial artist is not worth watching.
I have purchased nearly a dozen videos from "Em3 Video" and I can honestly say they have spent a lot of time in making sure you have a great quality video & sound. Due to this I have purchased another half a dozen videos of other styles I am interested in watching.

The Hellbenders - Digitally Remastered

Hellbender's - A Damn Fine Western
This is the movie for the man. You'll ride long-winded along side this gun-slinging flick where "don't trust nobody" is the only way out.

A LOST CLASSIC
"The Hellbenders," directed by Segio Corbucci, is essential viewing for fans of the Western genre. The film's plot revolves around ex Confederate Colonel Jonas , played by Joseph Cotton, and his sons, Ben, greedy Nat, and rapist Jeff. Determined to reorganize the Southern Army and defeat the Union, Colonel Jonas and his sons massacre a platoon of Union soldiers transporting a consignment of banknotes and conceals the loot in a coffin supposedly belonging to a deceased Confederate officer, Captain Ambrose, who was killed in the Battle of Nashville. They hire a drunken prostitute named Kitty to pretend to be the officer's widow. The film has a plot similar to Vera Cruz, in which Burt Lancaster, a dandy gunfighter, and Gary Cooper, a former Confederate Colonel, team up to escort a carriage with a French countess to Vera Cruz, for the Emperor Maximilian. In fact, a hoard of gold is hidden aboard the carriage. The score by Ennio Morricone is haunting, while the cinematography by Enzo...

Si, pasta western noir, amigo!
This quirky western has a fantastic plot more evocative of TV's "The Wild Wild West" than a standard oater. Joseph Cotten is superb here with his delightfully twisted, Southern rebel ways, his fine Mercury Players' theatrical playing style... all in fine fettle well past his career's high noon. Cotten appears to have cared not the least about the critics which makes his performance all the more delicious.

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola (2013) (Hindi Movie / Bollywood Film / Indian Cinema ) - BLU RAY [Blu-ray]

Whacky absurd intelligent insight!
I like Vishal Bhardwaj's films. I believe it can be said that he is an intelligent director. MAQBOOL, OMKARA and KAMINEY are very impressive compelling films with wonderful actors who obviously love to have the chance to work with Bhardwaj. Wiki says that Bhardwaj came to Mumbai to become a music composer; he took to directing films only to create the opportunity to compose music. He collaborated with Gulzar, the Indian poet, lyricist and director.

Interesting that Bhardwaj began in music, he also sings and his wife Rekha Bhardwaj is a wonderful Indian 'playback' singer with her own recognizable, haunting and soulful sound. Musicians don't often possess a keen visual ability, but Bhardwaj's painterly frame compositions and use of color transfer his films' feelings beautifully.

Although MATRU KI BIJLEE KA MANDOLA does not hold together as well as the other three I mentioned, what did interest me is that Bhardwaj is using this film to expose the use of bank loans...

Brother Bear / Brother Bear 2 (3-Disc Special Edition) [Blu-ray / DVD]

SEE THIS MOVIE
I went to Brother Bear not really knowing what to expect. Some of the recent Disney hand drawn animated releases have fallen short of expectations. I have to say that I was extremely impressed by the plot and character development in this movie. The story, while it is a relatively simple one, is one that draws you in and makes you care about the characters. And while many of us can see where the plot is going, the journey is highly enjoyable with some unexpected twists along the way.

For those of you who don't know what the movie is about, it is a coming of age movie about a boy who becomes a man by becoming a bear. Beyond that, it is about breaking stereotypes, and developing a respect for life. It is about dealing with anger and loss. The emotional intensity of this movie is much more similar to Lilo and Stitch or Finding Nemo, than it is to older hand animated movies such as Aladdin or The Little Mermaid. My four year old is very sensitive and had to be held at several...

Typical Disney concept, superior execution
"Brother Bear" has all the traits we are familiar with from Disney, but they are more nicely done than in some recent efforts. There is a grand sentimental theme (brotherly love), a soaring musical score, an earnest effort to incorporate another culture into the film (Inuit), an ornery lead who has something to learn (Kenai), a loveable little sidekick (Koda), and secondary characters for comic relief (Rutt and Tuke, two goofy mooses, played by Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis re-enacting their "McKenzie Brothers" routine).

Somehow it comes together better than most. The quality of the animation is excellent, the characterizations clearer, the funny bits genuinely funny (my favorite bit was the mooses' penchant for doing yoga poses). Moreover, the ending was a bit less trite than is sometimes the case.

Disney true-blue fans will definitely want to see it, but even if you usually have a low tolerance for Disney stories, give this one a look.

Disney has done it again!
We saw a special sneek preview on 10/25/03. Brother Bear is a hit. Well written story line, great music, and beautiful animation.

Make sure you stay until all the credits have run, there's one last "outtake" at the very very end of the movie. Most of the audience had walked out, and missed it.

Miss Dial

A Charming and Incisive Winner!
The best romantic comedies (Pretty Woman, As Good As It Gets, Bull Durham, Knocked Up) often remind us that, not only do we need other people, but that they also better us. Miss Dial, David Steinberg's newest film, charmingly succeeds at doing the same. Steinberg, a master of raunchy, gross-out comedy (he wrote or co-wrote several of the American Pie films and the hilariously bawdy coming-of-age novel Last Stop This Town), has created a subtle, engaging, and relentlessly funny character study about the profitable, if painful, self-improvement occurring when the right person enters one's life.

Miss Dial is Erica (an outstanding Robinne Lee), a home-based consumer products customer service rep who (with a smiling, repressed contempt) fields calls from morons and weirdos befuddled by her company's usually self-explanatory products. After one moron too many, Erica takes a break from her caller queue and, attempting to call a friend, misdials an Afghanistan War vet in North...

Hysterical comedy abt connecting in a disconnected world
This movie is HYSTERICAL. I saw it at a screening in LA with a bunch of friends, and we were in the corner clutching our stomachs dying of laughter. Although this movie is definitely a romantic comedy, the underlying theme is about two people accidentally connecting in a disconnected world. The intimacy of their conversations is contrasted by a series of hilarious phone calls from people seeking customer service from the main character Erica. Through sharp, funny writing, and without being pedantic, this movie conveys the 21st century dilemma of having so many means of communicating but not being able to communicate at all (please describe your potato shredder). It is sad that this movie did not enjoy a wider theater release.

Everything a Romantic Comedy Should Be
I absolutely loved this movie. It was everything I would hope for from a Romantic Comedy. It was actually laugh out loud funny and incredibly touching without being cheesy. Not only are the two leads captivating, but all of the supporting characters are so fun! I literally wept at the end, which is a sure sign that this film is a success! Put on your p.j.'s, grab a glass of wine, and curl up with Miss Dial. You won't be disappointed.

Bush: Live! [Blu-ray]

average Bush show, great audio and video
I was curious about this bluray because the AXS (originally HDNet) broadcast was riddled with Gavin's pre-recorded vocal tracks (used as backing vocals for live performances) being mixed LOUDER than his actual live vocals. It sounded horrible, especially during the chorus'. The first song of the concert, "The Mirror of the Signs" has been omitted from this official bluray release, and if you watched the live broadcast, its easy to tell why -- the performance was not very good (it was one of the first times they played it) and Gavin's live vocals were not on 'time' with the pre-recorded backing tracks.

When it comes to live rock bands, Im not into click tracks. Im not into pre-recorded vocals, Im not into sound effects -- I want live and raw. Bush's Woodstock 1999 DVD is a better example of this.... BUT, I will say that for THIS release, it was remixed from the live broadcast and the backing vocals have been lowered to make it much more listenable. Visually, the concert is...

awesome as always

Dabangg 2 (2012) (Hindi Movie / Bollywood Film / Indian Cinema ) - BLU RAY [Blu-ray]

I like it
Very different from the first Dabangg . So it was really refreshing... Enjoy...Recommend highly this Dabangg 2.. Salman Khan incredible as usual..

Same old film in a new location
As far as movies and their box office records go these days, Salman Khan seems to be competing with only himself. Since `Wanted', each one of his film have made more money than the previous one. As entertainers these work big time because Salman has carved a niche for himself and caters to only his select audience because he knows them well. In Dabanng, he does more of the same as he tries to put a fresh face to a sequel that was a game changing film for him.
A few things have changed since the last film, the original director Abinav Kashyap declined to do the film and Arbaaz Khan became the director. However as a new director he does not bring a fresh perspective because this sequel is nearly identical to the first film, just the setting has changed from Lucknow to Kanpur. The first fight was in a warehouse in the original film and in the sequel as well. The Dabanng song, has nearly identical dance steps. The mandatory shirtless fight scene. Even Munni makes an appearance. The...

Great movie for the original fans
The movie felt a lot like the original in spirit. Any fan of Dabangg should watch this to bring the magic back!

WWE: WrestleMania II

Three Cities, Three Arenas, One WrestleMania
A couple of notes here in that this is the exact same version of this event taken from the WrestleMania Anthology set meaning that all references to "WWF" & various music has been changed to due the rights expiring but there is no blurring of the WWF logo since this event happened before the "Attitude Era."

"What The World Has Come To" is the tagline for the second edition of WrestleMania & WWE decided to do something they've never done before with this edition by broadcasting from three different locations across the country. Various celebrities include Joan Rivers, Tommy Lasorda, Susan St. James, Cathy Lee Crosby, Ernie Ladd, Rick Schroder, and Ray Charles singing "America The Beautiful." This event also featured the WrestleMania debuts of various legends like Randy Savage & Miss Elizabeth, Mr. Fuji, Magnificent Muraco, George "The Animal" Steele, Jake Roberts, Bret Hart & Jim Niedhart, Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid, and Dory Jr. & Terry Funk.

New York...

Getting Closer...
After the success of the original event, "Wrestlemania 2" ups the ante a bit with better production values and a larger sense of this being a truly not-to-be-missed event. Yet, it still relies far too much on the "gimmick" of celebrities and doesn't just let the plotlines play out.

The highlights of this event include:

-Ray Charles kicking off the proceedings with a stirring melody of patriotic standards. Really gives the show a sense of gravitas right off the bat.

-Randy "Macho Man" Savage vs. George "The Animal" Steele. Two great wrestling personalities playing off of each other.

-A Battle Royale featuring NFL players and (spoiler) won by the always entertaining Andre The Giant.

-The boxing match between Mr. T. and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper works well with the hype...but then kind of fizzles in the actual match.

-Same thing for the Hogan vs. Bundy finale...pretty good build-up but the match itself was nothing to write home...

What can i say...I am OLD SCHOOL...love the early day of wrestling...

Lay the Favorite [Blu-ray]

Not as good as I thought it'd be...
The girl playing the lead gets on your nerves, since she seems like she's on hyperspeed all of the time. Did Catherine Zeta Jones get a major face lift? And of course Vince Vaugn is in it, he's very funny. I liked seeing him and Bruce, they were great. But I expected more, in general. It was like watching squirrels run around in those little wheels things....I should have waited until it was ALOT cheaper, like in Prime....buyer beware--

Really really lame
Such an established cast and yet failed on every level. Really disappointed that I spent ten dollars to watch this dud.

IT'S JUST A HOOK
Beth(Rebecca Hall) is a woman who aspires to be a cocktail waitress in Vegas. She has both brains and looks. She ends up working for Dirk, a bookie (Bruce Willis) who she develops feelings. Dirk has a jealous wife Tulip (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and a bad side when he loses, which causes Beth to get a job elsewhere. Beth eventually gets into trouble and needs help.

The film is based on a true story, so you didn't know where it is headed. The downfall of the film is that it has a narrow appeal. It is basically a modified chick flick. But it is for chicks who know something about book making. The phrase "lay the favorite" means betting against the favorite, i.e. you always take the points and the underdog, you never give points. Bookies make their money by having a balanced book. They need the same amount of money bet on a team as they do against it. They make their money from taking "the juice" which is a percentage of the winnings. If the juice is 10% and you bet $50 even...

Talaash (2012) (Hindi Movie / Bollywood Film / Indian Cinema ) - BLU RAY [Blu-ray]

The spoiler free review
It has been three years since 3 idiots and Aamir Khan had not returned to the movies, then he decides to make a movie with a small set up and a director called Reema Kagti (Honeymoon Travels and writer Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara), which is a unique state for a star of his stature. Then the delays begin and the endless waiting as the movie gets postponed for release several times for many reasons -that it is similar to Kahaani, it's based on a graphic novel ` An Act of Providence and Aamir's so called head butting with the director ( when has that not happened with Aamir starrers) and finally the endless text messages before the release which gave away the movie ending.
I watched the film on the first day of its release itself, a luxury that I give myself and I loved the film. In my view, after a year of mediocre films - there finally was a film that I could think about for a long time. Armaan Kapoor ( a filmstar) is killed in a freak accident on the promenade near Worli, Mumbai...

...Aamir and his terrifying mustache, Kareena and her soiled dove...
One late evening, near Mumbai's red light district, a car careens off the infamous Seaface Road and hurtles into the sea. The car's lone occupant doesn't survive the plunge. And when word circulates that the casualty is a famous Bollywood film star, what starts out as a routine auto accident investigation soon catapults the morose lead detective, Inspector Surjan Singh Shekhawat (Aamir Khan), into a haunting maze of deception, fatal attraction, and murder. Maybe it's significant that similar freak accidents have happened on that same road.

The first two-thirds of TALAASH unfolds as a taut, hard-boiled mystery. And then the third act comes along and pretty much plagiarizes a movie I can't possibly mention because it'll give the whole thing away. As someone mentions in the DVD features, TALAASH, on the surface, is a suspenseful whodunit. But peel that away and we glimpse the essence of the thing. It's about loss and our cast of characters' ability (or inability) to cope with...

Talaash is a TRIUMPH!
Two words: BUY IT
Two words: WATCH IT
Two words: BE AMAZED

I bought this movie because I love Aamir Khan since watching him in 'Ghajini', 'Tare zameen par' and 'Three Idiots' and Rani is my favorite Bollywood actress. I thought I was paying attention and could predict the end but oh no, they got me BIG TIME with a twist that will leave you breathless and rewinding to find out how didn't see it coming, lol. What a beautiful spiritual journey and a score to die for. Great acting, directing, script and story-telling. The reason why great Bollywood movies have the ability to change your life like no Hollywood movie ever can.

Crossroad

A Tapestry of Redemption and Second Chances
As someone who has personally experienced a rash of coincidences and synchronicities in recent days, I truly appreciated the beautiful tapestry that this film has woven as it exemplifies all of our connections through God and the Universe. The encounters in this film are not by chance and each of the participants walks away changed and more connected to themselves, to others, to faith, God and the universe. Understanding, forgiveness, second changes and ultimately redemption are what allow the characters in Crossroad to move on from what is holding each of them back. A touching gem of a film.

Amazingly Touching and Inspiring
Crossroad is an amazing journey of one man's path to forgiveness and redemption. This is the first movie I have ever seen that was a Christian Thriller. I appreciated the fact that it was appropriate for my children to see as well as adults.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an uplifting drama that will leave you a better person for having watched it.

An Excellent Story... I Loved It!
I loved this movie! I wish that I could write in-depth about how each of the characters' roles specifically relates to my own life, but I don't want to spoil the plot for those who haven't seen it.

However, I will say this much...

In my own life, I've experienced the emotions of wanting to leap from a bridge, only to transform that emotion into a fearless desire to defend others. I've known the years of feeling absolutely happy and secure with family members, only have them ripped away, and then wanting to seek revenge on the entire world around me. I know the stress and despair that individuals and couples feel when money is low, and I also know the roller-coaster of emotion caused by infidelity. In the end, I've come to realize that everything I've experienced in my own life, good or bad, has been for a beautiful purpose far too great for my initial understanding. If not for knowing such extreme highs and lows in my life, I wouldn't be in a position to educate,...

Casablanca / African Queen

Wrong Info on Back of Disk
I pre-ordered this 2 months ago and just got it today(3/12).

They have the picture of the 70th anniversary edition of Casablanca on the case but according to the details on back it is NOT! It is the old 2008 Blu-Ray release with inferior picture and sound! Luckily this info is wrong and it is really the latest and greatest that has the 4K transfer yielding much better picture quality and a DTS-HD Master Audio track for better sound.

Great blu ray value for two great films
Before buying, I wanted to be sure that the 'Casablanca' transfer was the newer, far superior one, and according to reviews, it is. The two-disc package arrived quickly, and the discs play great.

Great movie! Great Quality!
I may be a younger viewer of the classic films (age 25) but I really enjoy these films. They have very good story lines, acting, and directing as well as capturing the audience. I added these into my collection so that I may share them with my future kids to enjoy and see what real film making used to be. True, it may take longer to develop the plot, but the plot is solid and well worth the wait.

Superman: Brainiac Attacks [Blu-ray]

Questions and Answers for DC Animated Universe Completists...
You know who you are. You are the kind of person who is going to buy DVDs related to to Bruce Timm's DC Animated Universe to have a complete collection of everything DCAU. Here are some questions that completists who have not seen Superman: Brainiac Attacks yet may ask themselves when thinking about whether or not to buy this DVD.

If you are not a geek feel free to ignore this review.

Q: All the reviews say it's really bad, but internet critics are ALWAYS unnessecarily harsh. Is it really THAT bad?

A: Yes, it is. Static Shock's "Hoop Squad" has always been widely considered the single worst thing to come out of the DCAU ever. This is only marginally related to the DCAU and it is roughly twenty times worse. Sixty if you consider it's 22 minute running time one of "Hoop Squad"'s virtues. It is a pile of dried monkey vomit.

Q: But I want a complete DCAU...

Quite possibly the single worst animated film of all time.
Unlike previous reviewers, I have actually gotten to see this mess, and let me just say that it is truly a disgrace to Superman: The Animated Series, and even writer Dwayne Capizzi's (of The Batman) other work.

When this was announced, and when the word came out that it would feature the original voice tallents for Superman and Lois (Tim Daly and Dana Delaney), fans of Superman and especially that wonderful and under-rated 90's cartoon show were estatic. Finally, this great version of Superman was getting his own animated movie!

Or so we thought.

As more details poured in, fans got more and more skeptical. Fan-favorite villains Lex Luthor and Braniac (Clancy Brown and Corey Burton) were recast. It was to be written by Dwayne Capizzi, of The Batman, an almost universally reviled anime-inspired version of the Dark Knight. What little pleasure that show ever had for me was in its kinetic animation, the writing was always atrocious and simplistic...

Kicking a good man...
Not to jump on the band-wagon here, but I would have to agree with the other reviewers. Had I purchased this instead of waiting for the "free view" on Cartoon Network I would be of all men, most miserable. I absolutely love Batman, Batman Beyond, Superman and Justice League and this production was a huge disappointment. The Luthor and Braniac voices were awful...the story was weak...buy the second season of Justice League instead.

Rise of the Guardians

It should have been nominated in the Oscars
You'll have to just see it to believe.

I'm 47 years old. I normally walk out of animated films which sound too noisy for me.
I not only stayed the entire movie. I watched it again 4 times -- alone even, just to experience it again and again.
The magic of childhood is the magic of wonder, play, dream, believing. And if you still have that imagination left in you,
then maybe you could still sit down, laugh, cry, cheer with your kids while watching this movie.

How can an animated piece be so moving.
The previews for this movie looked fun and funny; seeing this movie in full-length was an even broader experience. This is one of those movies like "Finding Nemo" or "Toy Story" that will be timeless because of the content, the humor, and the wise message inherent in the storyline. I loved it . . . and so did my 29-year-old daughter and my four-year-old grandson.

Fabulous movie worth rewatching
A great and ancient evil is rising in the land, and it is up to the guardians-Santa Claus, the Sandman, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny-to convince the reluctant Jack Frost to fight for the innocence and imagination of the children of the world

The quirky premise leads into an enchanting tale of faith and self-discovery. Jack Frost, whose heart is as warm as his magical powers are cold, is the reluctant Guardian-elect. Invisible to children, bereft of memories, and unclear as to his purpose, he wanders through life making mischief (the Easter Bunny is still deeply unhappy about the blizzard on the Easter of '64) and racking up more naughty than nice points. But when Pitch Black, the boogeyman, schemes to wipe out the faith of children in Santa Claus and the other Guardians, Jack Frost teams up with the Guardians to bring laughter and joy back to the children of the world. In the process, naturally, he finds himself and his innermost gift.

All the President Men / Three Days of the Condor

All the Presidents Men/Three Days of the condor
Love the suspense and story lines of both of these movies. Great acting by Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman in All the President's men. Also great recap of the Watergate scandal as far as a movie goes.
Three Days of the Condor is a suspensful and great movie starring Robert Redford. I have always enjoyed this movie even tho it took me 3 times watching it years ago to understand it. I love all of these CIA type of movies.

Groundbreaking 1970s Cinematic Political Paranoia
There was a great deal of political paranoia to be found in the cinema of the 1970's. To films in particular epitomize that era. Alan J. Pakula's ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN and Sydney Pollack's THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR are two films in particular that capture and preserve that moment in time. Robert Redford stars in both films and his approach to both characters in each film seems initially like one of indifference with a dash of naiveté, but once drawn in he becomes very self reliant. Dustin Hoffman's character in ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN is more seasoned and cynical and welcomes the confrontation and must bring it to fruition. THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR is a complex suspenseful political thriller directed by Sydney Pollack. A shroud of relentless paranoia permeates the entire film from beginning to end. It is set primarily in New York City and Washington DC and this adds to the drama in a very credible way. Robert Redford is a CIA research reader. He reads books and all forms of...

2 Great Movies in 1 package!
I was actually looking for "Three Days of the Condor" and what a surprise to find it attached to another great movie, "All The President's Men" for a great price. Robert Redford stars in both. In "Condor" he plays a CIA researcher who comes back to work from lunch only to find all of his co-workers dead. What follows is a cat and mouse game between he and the agency he thought he could trust. It also stars Faye Dunaway, Cliff Robertson, and Max Von Sydow. In "All The President's Men" Redford teams up with Dustin Hoffman to portray Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, the Washington Post reporters who follow a break-in at the Democratic headquarters at the Watergate Hotel all the way to the White House.

Rock N Learn Rocks!
My 1st Graders loved these videos. Other classes walk by my classroom and peer inside to see what kind of rap video we are watching. The kids love these videos and sing along with the characters. The school actually ended up purchasing the entire set of these Rock N Learn so the teachers could check them in and out. Great for learners of all ages! These make learning fun!

Rise of the Guardians - Limited Edition Easter Gift Pack (Blu-ray / DVD / Digital Copy + 2 Hopping Toy Eggs)

The premise and...

NFL Super Bowl XLVII Champions: 2012 Baltimore Ravens

For Every Fan of Pro Football
I found myself in the unlikely position of a New Orleans Saints fan who plunked down a nice chunk of change to attend Super Bowl XLVII and rooting for both teams. On one hand, I was overjoyed beyond explanation that the 49ers had kept our arch rival Atlanta Falcons away from a Super Bowl on our own turf. I also have become a fan of the young superstar Colin Kaepernik, who played his 10th NFL start in the Super Bowl. On the other hand, I was also rooting for Ray Lewis, Michael Ohr, Jacoby Jones, and Ed Reed on the Ravens' side. I wound up sitting in the center of the Poydras Street end zone Loge (mid-level). From this vantage point, I could clearly see that Colin was an absolute nervous wreck for the entire first half, changing almost every play at the line and nearly running out the play clock each time. A 49er lady fan also noted the same thing. Half time did not solve his problem, and the Ravens were ahead 28-6 when the lights went out at 1:38 into the third quarter. This 34-minute...

More of a Review than anything New
I'm a pretty solid Ravens fan. I'm sure everyone who purchases this is as well. I just have to let people know what this is before they buy it.

If you are a casual fan you may enjoy this. It summarizes the season pretty well and gives the main events of the season. Almost like a 'cliff notes' of last season by someone who isn't particularly passionate about the Ravens.

If you are a pretty solid fan, you may want to purchase this just for memory's sake, but the film itself is nothing new. If you've followed the season, watched all the post/pre-game interviews, followed all the story lines, read all the articles on the ravens website, you won't see anything exclusive in this film.

In fact, I'm not sure but I feel that this was produced by the "NFL" not the Ravens organization and it really shows. It doesn't bleed purple and black like I thought it would. It failed to capture the high emotions of the playoffs, even the Broncos game which in...

Well put together BluRay
The 1080 on this is visually stunning. It looks as though the football players are right there with you. I love the special features section. I just wish they would of made it a bit longer in the segments. But overall, if you are a Ravens fan it is a must for your collection. Nice to put this one next to the 2000 Superbowl set which is only available on DVD. It does show segments for mic'd up as well as best shots (hits between players) during the 12 season.

Revelation Road: The Beginning of the End

A Solid Start
Revelation Road: The Beginning of the End is just that, a beginning of at the very least a two-part movie series from Pure Flix Entertainment. The viewer gets the opportunity to meet Josh, a traveling salesman with a secret but obviously destructive past. You can see early on that Josh has the capability to go a little unhinged when necessary but you can also see that this is not a side of himself that he entertains. We also meet a pretty rough biker gang who have a charismatic leader named Hawg. The gang has no problem with messing with people, stealing and eliminating witnesses, but they do have a problem with Joshua when he gets in their way.

You can tell Joshua has a past, but it changed dramatically when he met his wife. Or at least that is what Josh thought until he sees how easy it really is to slip back into his old skill set. Can a person really change? If tackling that question isn't enough for Josh, it seems there are a lot of energy spikes, thunder storms...

Excellent Picture
This video is of an excellent quality and it was such an inspiration to me and my family. I highly recommend this video to everyone and the seller.

A teaser for the next part
This is a great movie and will keep you entertained as well as speak some spiritual truth. I liked it and can't wait for part 2 to come out.

WWE: WrestleMania VIII

"The Nature Boy" Comes To WrestleMania
A couple of notes here in that this is the exact same version of this event taken from the WrestleMania Anthology set meaning that all references to "WWF" & various music has been changed to due the rights expiring but there is no blurring of the WWF logo since this event happened before the "Attitude Era."

WrestleMania made it's way to the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana for this edition of the event which was the first time in history being promoted as having a "double main event". The only celebrities involved with the show was Family Feud host Ray Combs & Reba McIntyre singing the "Star-Spangled Banner" while this was the WrestleMania debuts for Tatanka, Sid Justice, Lex Luger (via satellite to promote the World Bodybuilding Federation) and Ric Flair.

This Mania was built up as the possible retirement match of Hulk Hogan as he faced off against Sid Justice in a match that's mostly remembered for the confusing ending that to this day was given a clear...

The First One I Remember Watching
As a child, "Wrestlemania 8" was the first Wrestlemania I remember really getting into (anything before this I was just too young for). Thus, it will always hold a special place in my WM rankings. However, more objectively speaking, I also feel as if it was a pretty quality event in its own right.

The highlights for me included...

-The debut of Shawn Michael's "Sexy Boy" persona.
-The Undertaker absolutely manhandling Jake "The Snake" Roberts
-"Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Bret "Hit Man" Hart squaring off in an emotional friend-vs.-friend contest
-Ric Flair and "Macho Man" Randy Savage battling for the true affections of Elizabeth (a lot of emotion in this one)
-WM debut of Tatanka, always a fun character.

Sadly, as with "Wrestlemania VII", the reason I can't give this event the full five stars is because the final Hulk Hogan vs. Sid Justice match falls flat. Maybe the least inspiring final match of a Wrestlemania since the first...

WWE Wrestlemania 8 review
The Shawn Michaels-El Matador(Tito Santana) match was not great but good enough. The Jake Roberts-Undertaker match was simi-decent but no means a good match. The Intercontinental title match between Bret Hart & Roddy Piper was a back-and-forth,epic bout with great storytelling to boot. The 8 man tag team match between the team of The Big Bossman,Virgil,Sgt.Slaughter & Jim Duggan against the team of Repo Man,The Mountie & The Nasty Boys(Brain Knobbs & Jerry Sags) was pretty standard stuff but basically a filler. The World title match between Randy Savage & Ric Flair was a near-perfect,epic encounter. The Rick Martal-Tatanka match while not bad,it was just there to show off Tatanka. The World Tag Team title match between The Natural Disasters(Earthquake & Typhoon) & Money Inc(Ted Dibiase & IRS) was mediocre with a bad finish to boot. The Skinner-Owen Hart match was short and pointless. The Sid Justice-Hulk Hogan match was awful this side of WCW Starrcade 2000. I give this PPV a 7 out...
