Son of Sardaar [Blu-Ray]

"Hummm, Humm, hum,hum,hum"!
I found this movie amusing and funny. The actors, I think, carried this show rather than the script. The "Po Po" song was really very cute. I own this film because I like all the actors and I have friends who will enjoy this too.

Sirwiñakuy

A Mid-Summer's Daydream
Sirwinakuy is a quiet film--languid and intimate. The story of the relationship between an older man and a younger woman, it takes the viewer into the dreamlike nature of their union, where no one else exists and the outside world is kept at bay. This is the fantasy that happens whenever two people fall in love, but this is no ordinary love. In fact, for the length of the movie the viewers, as well as the main characters, are not certain whether this is love at all. It begins like a fairy tale; a chance encounter in a cafe leads to an immediate, unspoken attraction and both the young woman and the man are fearless enough to follow impulse without questions. It's the sort of improbable situation that happens in the lives of those courageous enough to trust and embrace the unknown. As their unorthodox relationship develops, it is apparent that there are levels to this film and to its characters that are implied and then left for the viewer to ponder. As we are told very little about the...

Beautiful Sexy Film for Couples
The basis of this film is a trail marriage between the two characters. Amy Hesketh's beautiful cinematography of Bolivia and her patient, expressive pacing make this a beautiful, sexy, evocative movie. The convincing and nuanced performances by Jac and Veronica make this a 'must see' film. If you buy only one "couple's porno" this year, purchase Sirwiñakuy and crack open a nice bottle of wine to share with your lover.

Beautiful! Romantic suspense worthy of Alfred Hitchcock!
What a great thrill to find a new director to watch! Amy Hesketh has created a fine romantic suspense with a fascinating twist. The premise is rooted in an authentic Bolivian custom, but what Hesketh does with it is all her own. Jac Avila and Veronica Paintoux give excellent performances as the couple in...what? Love? Trouble? Danger? You decide. Don't pass this one up!

Scooby-Doo & The Circus Monsters

Nothing to See Here
These shows have all been released at least twice.

Bedlam in the Big Top--Big Top Scooby-Doo/Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? The Complete First and Second Seasons
The Ghouliest Show on Earth--Big Top Scooby-Doo/The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo: The Complete Series
A Terrifying Round with a Menacing Metallic Clown--What's New, Scooby-Doo: The Complete 3rd Season/What's New, Scooby-Doo?, Volume 10: Monstrous Trails

This is a rip-off. It's not worth the DVD the shows are burned onto.

A clown-centered sampler of Scooby-Doo
This DVD is three episodes of three different Scooby-Doo series; the original, The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo, and What's New, Scooby-Doo. If you're a collector, and already own the seasons, there's no reason to buy this (unless you're the really complete collector, then that's your own problem.) Judged on their own merits, they're fun episodes, with the first and the last filled with all the fake monsters we expected. (The 13 Ghosts has actual supernatural and lacks Velma, two strikes in my book.)

So don't pick it up if you have to have everything, but if you want a sample of three episodes, it's a perfect package.

Love Scooby
My son Loves Scooby Doo and these were for him!
Yes I would recommend!
He said it was a great movie!

Action Classics Unleashed: The 4-Movie Collection (Flight of Fury / Out for a Kill / Shadow Man / Urban Justice)

HE'S ONE MAN WHO IS DRIVEN TO KILL.
Mostly I like all of the movies of STEVEN SEAGAL, but my four best movies that I give more higher ratings are these action classics. These 4 movies are my favorites of STEVEN SEAGAL because they show his fury and strength when his loved ones are harmed in any way. I enjoy watching him in action and his fights are totally out of this world plus the stories of these 4 movies are also pretty interesting. UNLEASH THE FIRE SEAGAL!!!

Nova: Inside the Megastorm

Sandy
This DVD focuses on the storm that hit the east coast in 2012, named Sandy. It has English subtitles and is about 60 minutes long.
The question is asked, are lethal storms becoming more frequent? There is some discussion at the end, but no real answers. The weather models are explored, especially the accurateness of the European model. Talking heads from universities and meteorologists also add to dialogues without too much irritation that they are being shown and not the storm. The film is of good quality, even those during the height of the storm and fires leave no doubt as to the destructive force.

The main emphasis is on the storm as it hit Manhattan and New Jersey. The plans and problems and tragedies are shown, including some of the victims and those that lost loved ones. There are no recriminations or no astonishments expressed that government workers are surprised that subway and electrical conduits flooded. This is a film that simply shows the facts and the...

Who Framed Roger Rabbit: 25th Anniversary Edition (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging)

The Rabbit Gets Some Justice
Filmmakers have been combining animation and live action since the days of silent film--but 1988's WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT not only bested everything done previously, it set a standard that is unlikely to be surpassed. Although it has been available on VHS and in a mediocre DVD release for quite a few years, the film finally gets the star treatment in this "Vista Series" double DVD release, which includes the film in both pan-and-scan and letterbox formats and an assortment of extras, many of which are quite interesting.

The concept and story are well known: cartoon characters are not drawings, but are living entities who work in the film industry, and when Maroon Cartoon star Roger Rabbit is accused of murdering Marvin Acme (Stubby Kaye), he turns to private detective Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) for help. Trouble is, Eddie hates "Toons." After all, one of them offed his brother, and Eddie hasn't been sober since. The concept is a clever one, and the story could have gone in any...

That's what I call one seriously disturbed Toon......
One of the great joys of movie-going is to see a concept, that on-the-face-of-it is so goofy and off-beat that it should never work, but, in the end, does work and works in spades! So it was for me with Who Framed Roger Rabbit. This Vista Series DVD brings the film to us with a crisp & clean picture, THX sound, and a beautifully packaged set of extras that include a very clever interactive menu, plus loads of goodies presented smartly, with humor and surprises.

Seeing the film again reminded me how impressed I was with the audacity and accomplishment of Bob Zemeckis and his collaborators on bringing off with care and intelligence, a sharp & funny film that plays to both children & adults. Who would have thunk it?

Taking a Chinatown-like story of early Los Angeles with some basis in fact (destroying the Red Line to make way for freeways) complete with murder & intrigue & marrying it to the screwy conceit that cartoon figures, aka Toons, actually lived and worked as live actors...

An Awful DVD of an incredible movie
This is one of my favorite movies ever; there's not a moment that I don't believe that toons and humans are interacting...but this version is a censored version of the film. They cut parts without the consent of the director, and for this reason, I beg you not to buy this version. Wait until they correct the bowdlerization of this masterpiece
